Rough Terrain Telescopic Handler (TELEHANDLER) Frequently used in the Construction Industry as well as in Agriculture and recycling centers.
the telescopic boom and rough terrain capabilities to move loads to and from places unreachable for a ordinary forklift have made them invaluable equipment.
ITSSAR course complies with the standards set out in accordance with the HSE Code of Practice L117 (ACOP).
Course provides delegates with the knowledge and practical understanding of the role and responsibilities of a Rough Terrain Telescopic Handler (TELEHANDLER) operator which operator will need to know on his workplace to operate in safe manner.

  • Operators Safety Code
  • Battery maintenance charging and refuelling procedures
  • Pre-use checks
  • Factors affecting stability
  • Motive controls
  • Hydraulic controls
  • Manoeuvring in open and confined areas and over varying terrain
  • Stacking and destacking at different levels in open and confined areas
  • Load weight assessment and load moment indicator
  • Safe use of attachments (if applicable)
  • Lorry loading and unloading
  • Post operative checks

Location

All ITSSAR tests and trainings can be delivered at YOUR SITE or at OUR TRAINING CENTERS in Eye (IP23 7HN) and Stonham (IP14 5DT) in English and in a range of Eastern European languages as Polish, Russian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Lithuanian, Hungarian, Spanish

Novice

3-5 days depending on the number of candidates with maximum 3 candidates per 1 instructor. This training course is for candidates with no previous experience on forklifts at all.

Experienced

1-3 days depending on the number of candidates with maximum 3 candidates per 1 instructor. This training course is for candidates with previous experience on the forklift. Can be unlicensed.

Conversion

1 -2 days depending on the number of candidates with maximum 3 candidates per 1 instructor. This training course is for candidates would like to convert from one type of machine to another.

Refresher & test

1 day with maximum 3 candidates per 1 instructor. This training course is for candidates with previous certificate which is expired (recommended every 3 years however this may depend on the company’s risk assessments and internal policies) or for candidates who had accident in the workplace and he needs to refresh and be tested his knowledge and skills.

Each candidate successful complete theoretical and practical examination will receive certificate with photo ID card ITSSAR accredited and will be registered in ITSSAR TOPS – Trained Operator Passport Scheme where he will get ITSSAR TOPS registration number where employer will be able to check on ITSSAR website is it genuine.

We also offer an in-house certificate suitable as proof of operator competence accepted for insurance and HSE compliance for employers who prefer licence to be used only on their premises.
